Job summary

Aon plc is seeking a Senior Health and Risk Consultant to lead the retention, development and commercial performance of a portfolio of larger or more complex clients in our Healthcare and Risk Consulting team in Farnborough/London, in a hybrid work model.

You will provide strategic consulting, build senior-level relationships and identify opportunities to broaden Aon's relationships, with autonomy to grow renewal income and revenue targets.

This is a hybrid role providing the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Farnborough/London offices.

What the day will look like

As a Senior Health and Risk Consultant, you will take responsibility for the retention, development and commercial performance of a portfolio of larger or more complex clients.

You will provide strategic consulting advice, build relationships with senior client stakeholders and identify opportunities to broaden Aon's relationships. You will have a higher level of autonomy and accountability for growing renewal income, developing a strong opportunity pipeline and contributing to more substantial revenue targets.

To achieve this, you will:

• Act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders across a portfolio of larger or more complex clients.
• Build a detailed understanding of each client's business, people strategy, employee value proposition and wider organisational priorities.
• Develop and maintain long-term strategic relationships that strengthen client engagement, service delivery, retention and growth.
• Lead complex client projects and provide strategic advice across health, risk and wider employee benefit considerations.
• Undertake comprehensive reviews of clients' employee benefits arrangements, analysing the findings and developing clear, evidence-based recommendations.
• Lead the renewal and broking cycle in conjunction with Aon's dedicated broking team, ensuring a coordinated and high-quality client experience.
• Design and recommend employee benefit solutions that align with clients' wider reward, health, wellbeing and workforce strategies.
• Take ownership of a larger individual revenue target and maintain a robust pipeline of renewal, cross-sell and new business opportunities.
• Identify opportunities to introduce Aon's broader capabilities and coordinate the involvement of relevant specialists and solution leaders.
• Navigate complex client issues, balancing commercial, strategic and operational considerations to achieve positive outcomes.
• Maintain a deep working knowledge of the healthcare and risk markets, including market developments, provider capabilities and emerging client priorities.
• Lead activities that promote Aon's products, services and insights in the marketplace, including client seminars, trade conferences, media activity and industry events.
• Share knowledge and experience with less experienced colleagues, offering guidance and support where appropriate.
• Collaborate with strategic leaders, brokers, technical specialists and client service delivery teams to deliver joined-up solutions.
• Work in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework and comply with all relevant Aon UK Limited policies.

• Confidence identifying and introducing relevant solutions from across Aon's wider capabilities.
• Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills.
• A deep understanding of relevant market developments, client challenges and provider propositions.
• A commitment to sharing knowledge and supporting the development of less experienced colleagues.
• A strong understanding of Aon and our key propositions, or the ability to develop this knowledge quickly.
