Job description
Overview

Would you like to be involved in developing an innovative CBT service delivering support directly to the school environment? In line with the government’s priority to increase access and availability of mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people, this is an exciting opportunity to deliver evidence-based early interventions for children and young people, working across both educational settings and healthcare sectors in England.

We are looking for confident CAMHS professionals with experience delivering CBT-based interventions who are keen to develop their skills in providing evidence-based interventions to children, young people and parents both within schools and in CAMHS clinic settings. You will have a demonstrable track record of providing collaborative and supportive interventions with children, young people and parents/carers. You will have professional registration within your chosen profession, for example CWP or EMHP, with practical experience post-qualification. The community served is multi-ethnic and culturally diverse and we welcome applicants who are skilled at working with the richness and complexity of this multicultural context.

Our mission is to make a positive difference to people\'s lives by improving the quality of life for all we serve. Our values are: We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive – so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver CBT-based interventions to children, young people and parents within schools and CAMHS clinic settings.
  • Contribute to CPD of trainee education mental health practitioners (EMHPs) and supervision of junior staff.
  • Contribute to community development and attend education forums such as SENCO and DSL forums.
  • Maintain a high degree of professional autonomy and self-management, and account for professional practice through appraisal and audit.
  • Support service development and participate in governance and performance activities.
  • Engage in service development ideas and career development opportunities as part of a dynamic team.
Qualifications
  • Professional registration within a relevant CAMHS profession (e.g., CWP or EMHP) with practical post-qualification experience.
  • Proven ability to deliver collaborative and supportive interventions with children, young people and parents/carers.
  • Experience working in diverse, multicultural settings and ability to adapt approaches to varied needs.
What we offer

We offer an exciting and dynamic environment where your ideas for service development and your career development will be valued. You will be supported directly by senior colleagues.
