Job summary

Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking to recruit a Consultant in Emergency Medicine. You will join a team of consultants across Worcestershire Royal Hospital and the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch, with opportunities to work at multiple sites.

The post supports education and training initiatives with local medical schools and universities, and requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient flow and care quality.

Qualifications

• Full GMC Registration with a Licence to practise.
• Entry on Specialist Register in Emergency Medicine (or CCT expected within 6 months of interview date) via CCT, CESR (CP) or European Community Rights.
• Success in Intercollegiate Specialty Examination or overseas equivalent
• FRCEM or equivalent
• ALS, ATLS/ETC and APLS/EPLS/EPALS provider.
• Instructor for Advanced Life Support courses

Responsibilities

• Provide a clinical service in the relevant specialty to patients of the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and to General Practitioners.
• Attend multi-disciplinary meetings and work within multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high quality clinical care.
• Support the A&E department and acute medicine to ensure timely patient flow through the hospital.
• Provide consultation and advisory service to clinical colleagues in the Trust and Primary Care.
