Job summary

UL Solutions in Basingstoke is seeking an experienced Laboratory Engineer for our EMC testing team. You will plan and execute EMC test programmes for a range of products, ensuring compliance with national and international standards.

With a minimum of 5 years' hands-on EMC testing experience in a commercial lab or equivalent, you will interpret standards, produce technical reports, and collaborate with Engineering, Laboratory Operations, Sales and Project Management to deliver high-quality

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' hands-on EMC testing experience in a commercial laboratory, certification body or product development environment.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics or related technical discipline.
• Strong knowledge of EMC standards and testing methodologies.
• Experience testing consumer electronics, industrial products, wireless devices, or similar technologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute EMC test programmes for a wide range of products.
• Support customers through the certification process and maintain high quality documentation.
• Operate and maintain EMC test equipment and laboratory systems.
• Produce high-quality technical reports documenting methods, results and conclusions.
• Maintain project records and update systems with progress and status.
