Job summary

UL LLC in the United Kingdom requires an experienced EMC Laboratory Engineer to plan and execute EMC test programmes, support customers through certification, and ensure projects meet high standards of quality and technical excellence.

You will conduct EMC testing, operate and maintain equipment, interpret standards, and produce comprehensive reports while collaborating with engineering, operations, sales and project management teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' hands-on EMC testing in a commercial lab or similar setting.
• Strong understanding of EMC standards and testing methodologies.
• Experience testing consumer electronics, industrial products, or wireless devices.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers and colleagues.
• Author high-quality technical reports documenting methods and results.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute EMC test programmes for diverse products.
• Operate and maintain EMC test equipment and software.
• Interpret standards and ensure accurate test execution.
• Produce technical reports detailing methods, results, and conclusions.
• Maintain project records and update progress in company systems.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Lab Operations, Sales, and PM teams.
• Support calibration, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Serve as technical point of contact for customers with project updates.
