Unity is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Developer to extend the Real Time 3D engine to embedded platforms such as Embedded Linux, QNX and Android Automotive OS. You will work across teams to deliver multi-screen, touch-enabled HMIs and optimise performance on constrained hardware.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with C/C++ and C# in a large, multi-threaded codebase.
• Experience targeting embedded platforms (Embedded Linux, QNX, Android Automotive OS).
• Strong knowledge of graphics stacks (OpenGL ES, Vulkan) and UI rendering on constrained hardware.
• Experience collaborating with customers and guiding cross-platform initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Bring Unity's Real Time 3D runtime to embedded platforms (Embedded Linux, QNX, AAOS/AOSP).
• Integrate Unity into native Android apps and build multi-screen cockpit GUIs.
• Profile and optimize runtime performance, memory, and startup times on constrained SoCs.
• Partner with automotive OEMs as a technical contact to investigate issues and enable production success.
• Raise engineering bar through design reviews, code reviews and automated testing.
