Job summary

IO is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and validate embedded software for aerospace applications. You will work on safety-critical systems, port RTOS to new architectures, and write highly optimized C/assembler code for ARM Cortex platforms.

The role emphasizes rigorous testing, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and adherence to DO-178C and IEC 61508 safety standards, with opportunities for professional growth and involvement in international aerospace projects.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Proven expertise in embedded software development, specifically in C and assembler.
  • Extensive experience in safety-critical systems within the aerospace or similar sectors.
  • Hands-on experience with RTOS environments, preferably FreeRTOS or similar.
  • Strong understanding of hardware architecture, including ARM Cortex processors.
  • Knowledge of safety standards such as DO-178B/C and IEC 61508.
  • Familiarity with software configuration management and development lifecycle processes.
