Qualifications

• Experience in Embedded Programming with C/C++.
• Knowledge of Board bring-up, particularly SoC or ARM processors.
• Experience in Bare-metal programming.
• Familiarity with RTOS, particularly FreeRTOS.
• Understanding of Networking protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance embedded software for satellite technology.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle.

Join an innovative company building the first and only space-based cellular broadband network – Edinburgh / Flexible working / Remote

This exciting company is approximately five years old and has been listed on the stock market for the last two years, now growing to about 300 employees. Working alongside some of the biggest names in the mobile telecoms / satcoms sector, they are around 6 years ahead of the market in satellite development. Their long-term goal is to deploy 25 satellites in space, providing worldwide, wireless 5G coverage.

This is a great opportunity for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join an established company that combines the determination and passion of a start-up, in their latest growth phase.

What’s Required?

For this Senior Embedded Software Engineer role, we’re interested in candidates with experience in:

• Embedded Programming in C/C++
• Board bring-up, preferably with SoC or ARM processors
• Bare-metal programming experience
• Commercial experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS, FreeRTOS)
• Understanding of Networking protocols or communication peripherals
