About the role

The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will be part of the product development team, focusing on designing and testing software for our laser systems. The role involves contributing to the development of our scalable system platform and the full lifecycle development of laser products.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing reliable, clean C code for laser systems.
  • Maintaining and expanding existing libraries for rapid deployment.
  • Creating technical documentation.
  • Planning and estimating development tasks.
  • Integrating software with hardware and optics.
  • Supporting legacy software on existing products.

Education and Work Experience:

Essential Skills
  • Experience in software engineering, preferably in industry.
  • Strong C programming skills and object-oriented approach.
  • Ability to develop scalable modules and low-level drivers.
  • Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems and multitasking.
  • Knowledge of microcontroller interfaces like UART, Ethernet, CAN Bus, I2C, SPI, ADC, DAC.
  • Ability to read schematics and datasheets.
  • Hands-on experience in embedded software and hardware testing and debugging.
  • Proficiency with version control and integration tools (Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
  • Good communication skills, team player, and self-motivated.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Experience with closed-loop drive control for industrial applications.
  • Experience with Test-driven Development (TDD).
  • Familiarity with ARM Cortex-M architecture, CMSIS, and related tools.
  • Experience with C# and Visual Studio IDE/Code.
  • Knowledge of NPI process and project planning.
