Job description

Our talented team of engineers collaborates to create industry-leading products, and we're looking for a Senior Embedded Engineer to join us in this exciting journey.

As a Senior Embedded Engineer, you'll be responsible for creating and developing embedded software in C++ on Linux-based systems, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and reliable code for complex, distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and contribute to all stages of the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to design, development, testing, documentation, and training.
  2. Develop robust, clean, and high-quality embedded software solutions.
  3. Create functional designs and detailed specifications for system components.
  4. Implement rigorous testing processes, including writing scripts for test automation.
  5. Review code from fellow engineers and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and alignment with project standards.
  6. Take ownership of projects while ensuring collaborative teamwork and communication across different teams.
  7. Contribute to system optimisation, debugging, and refining embedded software solutions.

Required Experience & Qualifications:
  1. Proven experience in developing and optimising complex software systems.
  2. Strong experience in designing and implementing embedded kernel technologies and drivers.
  3. Excellent proficiency in Embedded C and C++ programming.
  4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex technical problems.
  5. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
  6. A clear sense of ownership in your work, combined with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.
  7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Desirable Skills & Experience:
  1. A degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
  2. Familiarity with Linux shell scripting.
  3. Experience with Rust and Python programming languages.
  4. Knowledge of Docker for containerisation.
  5. Experience with Git for version control.
  6. Experience with distributed/networked systems.
  7. RF experience or Digital Signal Processing (DSP) knowledge is a plus.
