Job summary

Google is seeking software engineers to work on next-generation Pixel security designs and embedded software features. You will Harden and develop security components across Pixel devices, contributing to secure boot, drivers, and low-level OS layers.

Applicants should have strong C/C++ programming skills, multiple years of embedded systems experience, and familiarity with RTOS environments. The role emphasizes security, testing, and secure software delivery across Google hardware and software

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
3 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
Experience in embedded software/firmware design, device driver development, and RTOS/embedded OS environment.
Experience in low-level systems programming languages (e.g., C++ or C).

Responsibilities

Work on next generation Pixel security designs and projects.
Harden embedded system software components critical to Pixel security.
Develop embedded security software features for current and future Pixel devices.
Improve infrastructures for testing and Continuous Integration (CI).
Develop technical solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities.
