Job summary

NCR Atleos in Dundee is seeking a Senior Electronic Engineer to join the Media Handling team. You will design, develop and test embedded MCU/FPGA based PCB assemblies and modules, handling both digital and analogue electronics across multiple projects.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on development, experience with USB devices, EMC design practices, and proficiency in Cadence Allegro or Altium. Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to hardware verification are key aspects.

Qualifications

• Honours degree, 2:1 or higher.
• >5 years in MCU/FPGA product development.
• Experience with USB devices.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Design for EMC compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test embedded MCU-based PCB assemblies.
• Design, develop and document electronic modules and systems.
• Digital and analogue electronics design.
• Schematic capture (Cadence Allegro experience preferred).
• Create test specifications and reports.
• Soldering proficiency with SMT components.
• Debug hardware to component level.
• Provide estimates of effort, schedule, and size of change to Project Manager.
• Regular progress reporting on schedule, quality & size of change.
• Mentoring Junior Engineers.
