Senior Electronics Test Engineer

Location: Bedlington

Salary: Dependent on Experience

Our client is a global leader in their sector, seeking an Electronics Test Engineer to join their test engineering team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Develop and design test systems
2. Diagnose and analyze data for failed products
3. Support daily production and troubleshoot issues with automated test systems
4. Identify opportunities to improve current test systems
5. Analyze test failures
6. Participate in long-term team projects
7. Set up and maintain electrical measurement systems
8. Design and construct test hardware
9. Modify and generate test code to control instrumentation and perform automated testing
10. Understand production test machinery
11. Update and produce technical documentation such as circuit diagrams, test procedures, and operating instructions
12. Provide training and support to production operators

Ideal Candidate:

1. Experience in designing and developing test systems (Essential)
2. Interest in software programming (Desirable): LabVIEW, CVI, Python, VB
3. Experience with test instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and digital multimeters (Desirable)
4. Practical electronics and fault diagnosis skills (Desirable)
5. Degree in Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
6. Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships
7. Organizational and planning skills with attention to detail
8. Strong problem-solving skills with a technical bias
9. Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
10. Proactive, hands-on approach
11. Proficiency with MS Office for documentation and reporting

Working Hours and Benefits:

• Monday – Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30
• Friday: 08:00 – 13:00
