LabLogic Systems Ltd is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join the R&D team in Sheffield. The role involves developing a diverse range of scientific instrumentation, leading hardware design, prototyping, and cross-department support.

You will work with the Group Research Director and engineers to deliver robust hardware solutions while possibly traveling internationally. Strong C/C++ and embedded firmware experience is essential.

Competenze

• At least 5 years in an R&D electronics role.
• Undergraduate degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Embedded Systems or equivalent.
• 5+ years designing PCBs (schematic capture & layout) with brands like Proteus, Eagle, Altium.
• 5+ years hardware prototyping, bench testing and iterative design.

• Execute technical tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
• Collaborate with product specialists to define requirements for new products.
• Develop and implement new electronic hardware solutions.
• Own design and development of new hardware, manage integration and peer reviews.
• Conduct testing and evaluation of all new hardware developments to ensure robust solutions.
• Comply with industry-standard quality processes in engineering work.
• Support production through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with other engineers to create a cohesive hardware design for production.
• Apply project management processes and maintain complete documentation.
