Senior Electronics Engineer

Location: Hybrid (Office days in Coventry)

Salary: £55,000 – £70,000 (depending on experience)

We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients in the Coventry area for an exciting opportunity as a Senior Electronics Engineer. If you have a passion for innovative product development and a strong background in electronic design, we’d love to hear from you!

About the Role: As a Senior Electronics Engineer, you will have experience in the end-to-end development of low-powered devices. You will play a key role in the development of a wide range of products — from consumer goods and transport solutions to safety-critical devices. You will collaborate closely with designers, mechanical engineers, and software developers to create cutting-edge products from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the design and development of new electronic and electromechanical products.
2. Develop product specifications, technical documentation, and test protocols.
3. Design system architectures, including hardware/software partitioning.
4. Conduct feasibility studies and investigate emerging technologies.
5. Create and review analogue and digital electronic circuit schematics.
6. Oversee and manage PCB layout design and development.
7. Support multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills.
8. Provide technical guidance to multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior electronics engineers.

About You:

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a hardware design engineer.
• Proven expertise in both analogue and digital electronic design.
• Strong background in schematic capture and PCB design oversight.
• Ability to lead projects from initial concept through to final product launch.
• Experience working on multidisciplinary electronics projects is highly desirable.
