Job summary

Nextbase is seeking an Electronics Engineer to help develop the next generation of smart dash cam hardware. You will design, simulate, prototype, debug and validate electronic systems and circuits from early concept through mass production.

You will work closely with hardware, software and product teams to solve complex technical challenges and influence product direction while maintaining high quality and reliability in demanding environments.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent practical experience in electronics.
• 5+ years of relevant electronics experience.
• Experience across full product lifecycle from concept to mass production.
• Strong PCB design and schematic skills.
• Experience with EMC testing and product performance improvement.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering, product, manufacturing and suppliers to evaluate prototypes and production products.
• Design, develop and implement new technologies for future camera product releases.
• Provide technical insight that shapes Nextbase product range and future models.
• Create reports, test feedback and engineering recommendations for stakeholders.
• Lead root-cause analysis, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of hardware design.
• Develop, maintain and improve research, test and validation methodologies.
• Create validation plans with design teams and ensure robust execution.
• Verify electrical systems across prototype and production stages.
• Debug and tune PCB hardware on bench, lab and vehicle tests.
• Support EMC reviews and range checks.
• Create prototype PCBs and microsystems for local testing.
