Job summary

Electus Recruitment Solutions is seeking a skilled electronics engineer to design analogue, digital and RF systems across a varied portfolio, from concept through to production. You will develop schematics and PCB layouts, support prototypes and validation, and collaborate with software, mechanical and project teams to deliver integrated hardware solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience designing mixed-signal PCBs for commercial applications.
• Good EMC, grounding, power integrity and PCB layout best practice.
• Proven debugging, fault-finding and hardware validation experience.
• Practical prototype assembly, soldering and rework skills.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation and records.
• RF/embedded FPGA/SDR awareness would be advantageous.
• Commercial electronic hardware design in consultancy or product development.
• Strong analogue and digital circuit design capability.

What You Will Be Doing

• Design analogue, digital and RF electronic systems for advanced technology applications.
• Develop schematics, PCB layouts and manufacturing data for mixed signal hardware.
• Support prototype development, board bring-up, testing and design validation activities.
• Work closely with software, mechanical and project teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Contribute to technical reviews, customer discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Take designs from early concepts through to manufactured products.

Your Experience

• Experience designing mixed signal PCBs for commercial applications.
• Good understanding of EMC, grounding, power integrity and PCB layout best practice.
• Proven debugging, fault-finding and hardware validation experience.
• Practical prototype assembly, soldering and rework skills.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation and engineering records.
• Experience with RF, embedded systems, FPGA development or software defined radio technologies would be advantageous.
• Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• Commercial electronic hardware design experience within a consultancy or product development environment.
• Strong analogue and digital circuit design capability.
• Experience using Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout.
• £40-70k per annum dependent upon experience
