Job Description:

Peterborough/Lincolnshire Salary-Negotiable Depending on experience. Monday-Friday days, 40 hours per week.

The company: Based just outside of Peterborough, you will be joining a well-known innovative electronics manufacturing company with a large UK and international presence, on a continuous growth journey.

Due to continued growth, expansion, and new product development, they are now seeking an experienced Electronics engineer to join their team in the development of bespoke and iconic electronic systems used in several industries, from aerospace, military, flight, and more. Ideally, the company is looking for an experienced Electronics engineer with leadership qualities to join the business in a senior position. The Electronics engineer will conduct electronic engineering activities in the design, development, testing, and documentation of company products and their manufacturing test systems.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Carry out electronic engineering design and development to meet project requirements
• Design and development of PCB layout and specifications
• Support the activities of the Test & Acceptance team
• Develop and execute test plans, and write test reports
• Participate in hardware design and build
• Work adhering to precise health & safety requirements
• Help develop new processes and lead on some projects and tasks
• Work with junior team members to help develop their skills and support their career development

Other duties may be required as well.

Skills and Experience required:

• Experience in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing/engineering environment
• Degree qualified or equivalent, such as HND in a relevant technical discipline
• Knowledge of communications systems equipment specification, design, or test
• Understanding of electronic circuit design, prototyping, and development
• Ability to work independently or within a small team, acting as a senior member
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and electrical diagrams
• Leadership skills and abilities
