Senior Electronics Engineer - £60,000.00

Glasgow | Flexible Core Hours

An innovative and well-established engineering company, located in the West of Scotland, is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to play a key role in the development of cutting-edge systems used across industries including renewable energy, microelectronics, life sciences, and medical technology.

With sustained growth over the last decade and a strong R&D pipeline, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly skilled product development team in a modern facility housing design, production, and commercial functions all under one roof.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead electronic circuit and assembly design from concept to release
  • Manage projects and contribute to the full lifecycle of product development
  • Support system debugging, validation, reliability, and regulatory testing (EMC/LVD)
  • Create robust documentation and liaise with manufacturing for production support
  • Work on advanced technologies such as microcontrollers, FPGAs, and embedded systems

What You’ll Need

  • Hands-on skills in schematic capture, PCB layout, prototyping, and debugging
  • Experience with STM32F, Verilog, and embedded systems (Toradex modules a plus)
  • Knowledge of CE marking, RoHS compliance, and regulatory frameworks
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously and in cross-functional teams

Bonus Points For

  • Background in laser, Optics or photonics-based systems
  • Experience designing test tools for production environments
