Job Description:

The Role

In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of product design from feasibility to production, with a focus on developing and testing firmware. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in validating and verifying firmware against customer requirements. You will shape the team's design and testing processes and collaborate with other departments to ensure high-quality firmware development with comprehensive evidence. Knowledge of digital and analogue electronics is required.

The Candidate

• In-depth experience in C/C++ for real-time embedded systems, including multi-threading, debugging, and communication protocols
• Experience in testing firmware for low to medium-volume production, including planning and execution of unit and system tests
• Involvement in or management of code quality processes, including code reviews, version control, and formal release procedures
• Knowledge of schematic capture, PCB design, and layout
• Ability to analyze hardware/firmware interaction faults
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation
• Mechanical design experience is advantageous

The Package

The salary range for this position is £50,000 - £60,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
