Job summary

Saab UK in Bedfordshire leads electronics design and prototyping, guiding a team of electronic engineers. The Electronics Manager will drive design management for safety-critical hardware across DO-254 environments, coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring on-time delivery.

You will oversee 5+ complex programmes, develop governance, risk management, and bid support. The role demands strong leadership, attention to detail, and ability to work in fast-paced defence projects.

Qualifications

• Strong project and programme management experience.
• 6-8 years experience in project management with hardware design focus.
• Knowledge of DO-254 processes and safety-critical electronics practices.
• Experience managing multiple complex projects with many stakeholders.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of electronic engineers (8-10 staff) across programmes.
• Define objectives, performance goals and governance for delivery.
• Coordinate with Systems, Software, Mechanical, Test and PM teams.
• Support bid development, cost estimation, and reporting to stakeholders.
• Ensure workloads, risks and schedules are managed to meet commitments.
