Overview

Job Title: Senior Electronic Design Engineer

Location: St Albans

Working Pattern: Dynamic (hybrid) working – typically 2 to 3 days per week on-site, due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British or a Dual UK with British citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Take on all aspects of board-level electronic design, including schematic capture, prototyping, functional testing, and proving activities. Collaborate with other Electronic Engineering teams to ensure integration of electronics within the product.
• Apply development techniques such as circuit simulation and DFMEA to ensure robust electronics design.
• Support the product life cycle from feasibility through to production transfer, including industrial validation and quality assurance.
• Contribute to research and continuous improvement activities to enhance Electronic Engineering capability.

• Undertake board level design around FPGA and SoC associated power and control circuitry
• Connect with advanced RF systems and broader missile sub-systems
• Develop electronic technical solutions in collaboration with other skill domains
• Ensure robust electronics design using common development techniques
• Conduct proving activities to ensure compliance against requirements
