Job summary

TTP plc is seeking a highly experienced Electronics Engineer Consultant to join a team delivering advanced surgical devices from concept to market. You will mentor colleagues, lead electronics work packages, and ensure regulatory compliance across the product lifecycle.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients and stakeholders to translate clinical needs into robust, market-ready solutions. Travel for in-person meetings and engagements is expected.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in electronic engineering within regulated medical devices.
• Ability to design complex analog/digital/power electronics and PCB layouts.
• Proven track record taking products from concept to transfer-to-manufacture.
• Strong project management including milestones and stakeholder communication.
• Commercial acumen to balance product value, manufacturability and cost.
• Collaborative, proactive mindset with ownership in fast-moving teams.
• Desirable knowledge: digital electronics, embedded systems, FPGA; C/C++ in embedded hardware environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead electronic engineering activity across the full product lifecycle from concept to manufacture.
• Translate client and clinical needs into engineering requirements and viable solutions.
• Lead small/medium projects; own electronics work packages balancing risk, cost, quality, and regulation.
• Define system architectures and communicate complex topics to teams and clients.
• Review project scope and guide Consultants to improve quality and delivery.
• Support BD and proposal activity with technical and commercial input.
