Senior Electronics Engineer (Embedded Systems)

Location: Glasgow, UK

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Do you want to be one of the pioneering team members of a growing space company, helping to build something extraordinary from the ground up?

We’re looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer to join the UK division of a globally recognised NewSpace company. As one of the first team members in the new Glasgow facility, you’ll play a critical role in establishing a cutting-edge production site for electronic assemblies.

This is a unique opportunity to work on advanced embedded electronics in a cleanroom environment- no previous space industry experience required!

What You’ll Do:

• Drive the setup and optimisation of electronic manufacturing processes in a cleanroom environment.
• Lead the design, fabrication, and testing of PCBs and embedded systems.
• Interface with and program microcontrollers and IoT devices.
• Conduct hands-on lab work including diagnostics, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Support the assembly and integration of electronic and mechanical subsystems.

What You’ll Bring:

• Strong experience with embedded systems development and integration.
• Proficiency in PCB design and fabrication.
• Expertise in microcontrollers and programming for embedded applications.
• Background in electronic testing, diagnostics, and use of advanced lab tools.
• Experience working in cleanroom environments and/or electronics manufacturing standards (an advantage).
• Previous involvement in setting up or optimising manufacturing processes (a plus).
