We are seeking a skilled and innovative Senior Electromagnetics Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will leverage your extensive expertise in electromagnetics to design, model, test, and implement advanced wireless power systems for implantable medical devices. You will collaborate closely with our world-class, cross-functional team to ensure our wireless power systems meet performance, safety, and quality standards.

On an average day, you’ll...

  • Lead the electromagnetic design, simulation, and optimization of wireless power systems for implantable medical applications.
  • Experimentally validate performance of wireless power systems.
  • Model the performance of wireless power transfer systems and electromagnetic components for power converters by means of analytical solutions, 2D, and 3D FEM simulations.
  • Document experimental results and synthesize the main findings.
  • Prototype, test, and validate electromagnetic components and wireless power systems, analyzing data to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Work closely with our power electronics and mechanical teams to converge on integration solutions for multiple subsystems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members (Electrical, Mechanical, Firmware, Project Management, etc.) to support the integration of electromagnetic systems into complete medical device power systems.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including reports, specifications, and presentations.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and research advancements in electromagnetics and wireless power transfer.
  • Mentor and guide team members, contributing to the professional growth and development of the team.
  • Perform component and product-level testing on prototypes.
  • Source and collaborate with domestic and overseas suppliers.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong physics and/or electromagnetics background. Bachelor’s degree (Master’s or PhD ) in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a closely related field.
  • Deep experience in electromagnetic design and development, specifically involving wireless power transfer, inductive coupling, resonant systems, or similar fields.
  • Experience with electromagnetic simulation software such as ANSYS HFSS, COMSOL Multiphysics, CST Studio Suite, or similar tools.
  • Proficient understanding of electrical circuits.
  • Theoretical background in electromagnetics, magnetic field analysis, and related mathematical concepts.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with an innovative mindset.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a proven track record working within multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Qualifications:

  • Experience designing, prototyping, testing, and validating complex electromagnetic systems for medical or highly regulated applications.
  • Understanding of power electronics systems.
