Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician for reactive works across multiple social housing, Local authority, void, and unoccupied properties. You will be the go-to call-out Electrician for reactive and maintenance works, ideally based around Swindon or nearby, covering a large area from Swindon to Portsmouth. The higher salary reflects the larger area covered.

What the company offers:

Main Duties:

• Must be able to sign off your own work (NICEIC) – Domestic rewires for social housing and local authorities
• Writing detailed reports on each job
• EICR testing and remedial works
• Kitchen and bathroom 1st and 2nd fix
• Fault finding and small works
• Testing and inspection, supplying and replacing consumer units
• Perform additional electrical repairs, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations
• Drive to job sites as required on various local authority and social housing sites for voids and unoccupied properties, maintaining a valid driving license

Requirements:

• Proven experience in occupied and unoccupied domestic properties, including local authorities
• Ability to work independently
• Knowledge of PDA devices
• Experience in social housing/local authority sectors
• Full UK driving license
• Own set of tools

Qualifications required:

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations
• 18th Edition
• AM2

Pay: up to £48,000 - £50,000 basic, OTE up to £60,000, with overtime paid at 1.5x your salary.

Holidays: 29 days, including bank holidays, with increased holidays based on length of service.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Hours: 8 am - 4 pm
• Overtime paid at 1.5x

Experience:

• Social housing / local authority: 5 years
• Experience as an Electrician: 10 years (required)
• Ability to sign off your own works
