Job summary

21° is seeking a Qualified Supervisor Electrician to lead high‑quality electrical installations within domestic renewable energy projects, including air source heat pumps, ground source heat pumps, Solar PV and EV charging points.

You will provide technical supervision, certify installations, and ensure adherence to BS 7671, Building Regulations, and NICEIC standards, while mentoring junior electricians and coordinating with project teams.

Qualifications

  • City & Guilds Level 3 Electrotechnical qualification or equivalent.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
  • Experience working within the renewable energy sector.
  • Experience with Solar PV, EV chargers and heat pump installations.
  • Experience with NICEIC certification and compliance.
  • Experience supervising, mentoring or supporting other electricians.
  • Knowledge of MCS requirements and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out high-quality electrical installations for renewable energy and heating projects, primarily domestic.
  • Providing technical supervision and oversight to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Carrying out first and second fix electrical installations and testing/certification.
  • Completing Electrical Installation Certificates (EICs) and other relevant certificates.
  • Acting as the company's Qualified Supervisor for electrical work.
  • Performing quality checks and inspections of team installations.
  • Providing technical guidance to electricians and apprentices.
  • Identifying and resolving electrical/technical issues with compliant solutions.
  • Ensuring installations meet BS 7671, Building Regulations, NICEIC and statutory requirements.
  • Maintaining records, certificates and documentation.

Summary:

As a Qualified Supervisor Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality electrical installations and providing technical supervision and oversight to ensure all electrical work is completed safely, correctly and in accordance with current regulations and industry standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working on renewable energy and heating installations, primarily in domestic settings, including Air Source Heat Pumps, Ground Source Heat Pumps, Solar PV installations and EV charging points.
  • Carrying out first and second fix electrical installations.
  • Inspecting, testing and certifying electrical installations.
  • Completing Electrical Installation Certificates (EICs) and other relevant electrical certification.
  • Acting as the company's Qualified Supervisor, providing technical oversight and ensuring electrical work meets requirements and applicable regulations.
  • Carrying out quality checks and inspections of electrical installations completed by the wider electrical team.
  • Providing technical advice, guidance and support to electricians and apprentices.
  • Identifying and resolving electrical and technical issues, providing practical and compliant solutions.
  • Ensuring all electrical installations comply with BS 7671 (18th Edition), Building Regulations, NICEIC requirements and relevant statutory legislation.
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of safe systems of work and electrical best practice.
  • Ensuring appropriate records, certificates and documentation are completed accurately and maintained.
  • Supporting the commissioning and handover of renewable energy systems.
  • Working closely with project managers, surveyors, engineers and installation teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Supporting and mentoring less experienced electricians, helping to develop technical capability across the team.
  • Keeping up to date with changes to electrical regulations, renewable technologies and industry standards.
  • Representing 21° professionally when working with customers and maintaining excellent standards of customer service.
Education & Qualifications
  • City & Guilds Level 3 Electrotechnical qualification or equivalent.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
  • Proven experience working as a qualified electrician.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
  • Experience working within the renewable energy sector.
  • Experience with Solar PV, EV chargers and heat pump installations.
  • Experience working with NICEIC certification and compliance.
  • Experience supervising, mentoring or supporting other electricians.
  • Knowledge of MCS requirements and standards.
