LS Electrical and UK Green Energy Installations, Fleet, Hampshire, seek an experienced electrician with hands-on Solar PV and Battery Storage expertise to join our established renewable energy team. You will work across Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire and surrounding areas, handling diverse electrical and solar projects with high standards of workmanship.

The role requires an independent, customer-facing professional with 18th Edition and BS 7671 knowledge, plus experience with NICEIC standards.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified and experienced electrician.
• Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Strong working knowledge of BS 7671.
• Practical experience with Solar PV and Battery Storage systems.
• Competent in electrical inspection, testing and certification.
• Experience working to NICEIC standards and procedures, ideally within an NICEIC Approved Contractor.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High standard of workmanship and attention to detail.
• Professional and confident when dealing directly with customers.
• Full UK driving licence.

Experienced Electrician – Solar PV & Battery Storage

LS Electrical / UK Green Energy Installations

Fleet, Hampshire

Full-time | Permanent

We are looking for an experienced, fully qualified electrician with hands-on Solar PV and Battery Storage experience to join our established electrical and renewable energy business based in Fleet, Hampshire.

This is an opportunity for an experienced electrician to join a NICEIC Approved Contractor and MCS-certified renewable energy installer, working across a varied range of electrical, solar PV, battery storage and EV charging projects.

We are looking for someone who is already an experienced electrician, capable of working confidently and independently, testing and certifying their work, fault finding, and delivering installations to a high professional standard.

The Role

You’ll be joining a small, experienced team carrying out electrical and renewable energy projects predominantly across Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire and surrounding areas.

One of the key benefits of the position is the variety of work.

We’re not looking for someone simply to install the same solar or battery system every day. Our projects range from conventional electrical work and fault finding through to complete Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage and EV charging installations.

Your work will include:

• Battery Energy Storage Systems

• Consumer unit and distribution board work
• Electrical installation and alterations
• Inspection, testing and certification
• Fault finding and remedial work
• Domestic and commercial electrical projects

We work with a range of leading renewable energy technologies, including Sigenergy, Tesla Powerwall and GivEnergy.

About You

We’re looking for an electrician who has a strong electrical background as well as genuine practical experience within solar PV and battery storage.

You’ll need to be comfortable taking responsibility for your work, working independently when required and dealing professionally with customers in both domestic and commercial environments.

• Fully qualified and experienced electrician
• Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Strong working knowledge of BS 7671
• Practical experience with Solar PV and Battery Storage systems
• Competent in electrical inspection, testing and certification
• Experience working to NICEIC standards and procedures, ideally within an NICEIC Approved Contractor
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High standard of workmanship and attention to detail
• Professional and confident when dealing directly with customers
• Full UK driving licence

Additional experience or qualifications in any of the following would be advantageous:

• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing, or equivalent
• Solar PV installation, testing and commissioning
• Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
• EV charging installationsThree-phase electrical installations
• Commercial electrical work
• MCS-compliant renewable energy installations
• Experience with Sigenergy
• Experience with Tesla Powerwall

You don't need to have worked with every manufacturer we use.

For the right experienced electrician with a strong electrical foundation and good solar and battery knowledge, manufacturer-specific product training can be provided.
