Job summary

Equans Data Centers in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Electrical to lead on-site delivery of large electrical packages for hyperscale data centre projects, ensuring safety, quality and schedule adherence.

You will manage a team, coordinate with clients and design teams, review procedures, and drive operational excellence across all phases from inception to handover.

Qualifications

• Experience working with a main contractor or large subcontractor.
• Proven people management experience of managing teams.
• Ability to mentor and develop team members.
• Proven technical knowledge of Electrical Services.
• Knowledge and skills to effectively problem solve.
• Self-motivated with strong organisational ability and deadline drive; capable of client communication.
• Attention to Health and Safety matters; commercially astute.
• Experience in the data centres sector is desirable.
• Electrical discipline degree or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team to ensure work complies with quality, environmental and safety standards.
• Provide expert guidance to ensure operational excellence.
• Coordinate on-site construction to align with the project plan.
• Develop electrical submission and approval processes with client and design team.
• Support overall programming and planning of the build.
• Attend site meetings and prepare Progress Reports and minutes.
• Lead subcontractor meetings and report key metrics.
• Contribute to procedures, best practices, and continuous improvement.
