Job summary

Eastgate Engineering seeks an Electrical Project Manager with a minimum of 10 years in construction, including 5 years in leadership. The role oversees HSE, quality, commercial and project controls, mentoring teams to ensure policy compliance.

Key duties include pre-mobilisation planning, budget validation, labour deployment, subcontractor management and schedule monitoring on oil & gas, power generation, or heavy industrial projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years construction experience with 5+ years in leadership.
• Strong knowledge of HSE, quality, and project controls.
• Experience in oil & gas, power generation, or heavy industrial sectors preferred.
• Excellent communication and contractual knowledge.
• Mentoring and team leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pre-mobilisation plans including HSE, Quality Plans, RAMS and ITPs.
• Validate budgets and essential reporting structures.
• Oversee Construction, HSEQ, Commercial and Project Controls functions.
• Assess labour, supervision and equipment deployment during construction.
• Ensure methods of work comply with safety policies and OH&S.
• Set up, update and monitor project measures and SE.
• Investigate deviations from budgeted man-hours weekly.
• Ensure take-offs of construction drawings are recorded and managed.
• Manage construction installation to plan and communicate delays with causes.
• Submit early warnings/variations for out-of-scope works.
• Attend client site meetings and chair internal weekly meetings.
• Provide official correspondence to/from client.
• Ensure organisation is adequate and staff understand roles.
• Manage project health and safety with HSE support.
• Coordinate with quantity surveyor on monthly progress and costs.
• Monitor cost control, materials, labour, and escalation.
• Procure, evaluate and select subcontractors and manage contracts.
• Train and mentor junior staff.
• Resolve technical and constructability issues with team.
• Prepare and administer multiple subcontracts.
• Produce daily/weekly/monthly reports across functions.
• Ensure full compliance with HSEQ policies and procedures.
