Job summary

HRC Recruitment in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join an established defence engineering organisation on complex, highly technical projects for customers across global markets.

You will lead electrical design and engineering activities, develop power, control and instrumentation systems, and provide technical support across new and existing products, while mentoring junior engineers in a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in electrical design and project engineering.
• Experience with power, control and instrumentation systems.
• Competent in CAD/design software.
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards and compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Previous experience working on subsea and / or naval defence projects would be highly beneficial
• Experience working across multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and engineering activities.
• Develop power, control and instrumentation systems.
• Provide technical support across new and existing products.
• Produce and review technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering and operational teams.
• Support customer meetings, testing and commissioning activities.
• Ensure projects meet quality, safety, technical and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
