Job summary

Andrews Recruitment Group is recruiting an Electrical Lead for a major industrial manufacturing operation in Dunbar, East Lothian. You will lead and develop the site's electrical engineering and maintenance team, oversee high‑voltage infrastructure and drive plant reliability and safety.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive electrical engineering experience in heavy industry, and a track record of delivering capital projects and cost control.

Qualifications

• Senior electrical engineering expertise in heavy industry.
• Experience leading maintenance teams and budgets.
• Knowledge of high‑voltage infrastructure and safety standards.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in electrical engineering.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and ATEX/DSEAR knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the electrical engineering and maintenance team.
• Oversee maintenance, reliability and performance across the plant.
• Manage HV infrastructure, power distribution and equipment.
• Implement preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Identify faults and opportunities to improve reliability.
• Plan asset replacement and capital expenditure projects.
• Manage budgets, expenditures and resources.
• Ensure electrical inspections and compliance with regulations.
• Lead safety and training, and succession planning.
• Collaborate with management to improve availability and efficiency.
