Job summary

AltGen United Kingdom is recruiting a Senior Electrical Engineer to join an international renewable energy developer and EPC with a growing portfolio of utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects across Africa and Europe.

The role is hands-on and involves development, detailed engineering, construction and commissioning, working with cross-border teams to deliver electrical design, protection, SCADA and tender preparation across projects.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical design and project engineering experience.
• Experience with utility-scale Solar PV and/or BESS projects.
• Practical knowledge of LV/MV systems.
• Experience producing and/or reviewing engineering designs, specifications and deliverables.
• Knowledge of protection, earthing, SCADA and electrical distribution systems.
• Experience supporting projects through design and construction.
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary and international teams.

This is a technically hands-on role for an engineer who wants exposure beyond a single part of the design process. You will support projects across development, detailed engineering, construction and commissioning, working closely with international engineering and project teams.
