Job Summary

Due to continued growth, our client, a key player in marine surveillance, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team.

Qualified Electrical Engineer

This full-time, permanent position involves a mix of UK-based work and foreign travel to design, build, deploy, maintain, and recover sensor suites for marine surveillance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and test panels, control cabinets, and distribution boxes
  • Wiring and panel production
  • Soldering, connector assembly, and crimping
  • Test, interrogate, and fault-find systems
  • Soldering at cable level and PCB production
  • Build and test cables
  • Battery cabling and termination
  • Produce water-tight cable looms and coaxial cable products
  • Use and maintain electrical tooling, including a wide range of crimping tools
  • Electrical installation and fit-out
  • Work according to Works Orders, drawings, and engineering instructions
  • Power wiring, typically DC
  • Install marinised systems
  • Fault finding and rectification
  • Collaborate with electrical designers to develop and improve products, methods, and drawings
  • Report progress and production issues
  • Manage stock materials, consumables, and maintain good production housekeeping
Job Requirements
  • Experience in Electrical Engineering, including networking
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Independent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with Windows OS
  • Familiarity with communications systems and equipment
  • Leadership skills with decision-making capabilities on-site
  • Eligibility for UK Security Clearance
