Job summary

Randox Laboratories is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Engineering Design team at Randox Science Park in Antrim. You will own end-to-end design, development and delivery of automated systems for laboratory applications, collaborating with R&D, software, manufacturing and QA to ensure robust, scalable solutions.

The role requires a ~40-hour week with flexible options and a 12-month probation period. UK right to work is required, and sponsorship is not offered at hire.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in design and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Strong CAD and systems design knowledge.
• Experience with electromechanical components.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards.
• Ability to own designs from concept to implementation.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end design and delivery of new automation systems.
• Develop concepts for automation aligned with workflow optimization.
• Electrical and systems design of next generation platforms.
• Prototyping, testing, and validation for compliance.
• Collaborate with R&D, software, manufacturing, purchasing and QA.
• Support productisation for external markets ensuring scalability.
• Drive automation innovation to improve efficiency and usability.
