Job summary

OLG Recruitment are recruiting a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a client site in Royston. The role is a full-time, on-site position with a 12-month duration and potential call-out support.

The post holder will lead electrical safety, compliance and asset integrity across HV (11kV) and LV networks. You will manage maintenance, upgrades and training for the electrical team, act as REP, and collaborate with project teams on design, risk assessments and incident response.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering; Chartered status advantageous.
• 5+ years of industrial electrical experience, including HV.
• Experience holding SAEP status for HV network.
• Understanding of DSEAR/ATEX regulations; CompEx desirable.
• Experience with HSE frameworks to IOSH level.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
• Proficiency with MS Office and AutoCad; production of engineering reports.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safety of electrical personnel and all work on the electrical equipment and systems at site.
• Lead electrical function, maintenance, compliance, and upgrades where necessary.
• Manage ongoing inspection and compliance programme for ATEX/ DSEAR and HV areas.
• Approve electrical safety documentation and ensure compliance with legislation.
• Develop training needs and packages for HV/LV networks and maintain authorised personnel database.
• Act as SME for electrical equipment design and incident response.
