Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a strategic Principal Electrical Engineer to join our Data Center Design & Engineering team. You will shape power infrastructure design across new sites, refresh projects, and operations, acting as the ultimate technical authority.

You will establish standard designs, govern basis-of-design, and guide executive-facing decisions while partnering with Supply Chain on owner-furnished equipment and long-term power strategy.

Qualifications

• 15+ years leading major electrical projects in data centers or critical facilities.
• Deep knowledge of utility distribution, UPS, storage, and codes.
• Experience setting global tech direction and governance.
• Strong executive-facing communication.

Responsibilities

• Define power infrastructure standards for new and existing sites.
• Oversee design governance and risk management.
• Advise executives on long-term power strategy.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain on owner-furnished equipment.
• Sponsor research into emerging architectures.
