Job summary

Robert Hurst Limited is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical building services design for low energy building projects in domestic, commercial, and public sectors.

You will own electrical design, provide technical oversight, and coordinate with clients and project teams to deliver across RIBA stages 1-6.

Qualifications

• Chartered Electrical Engineer status and professional body membership expected.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Building Services.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services related field required.

Responsibilities

• Providing Electrical Services Design to Low Energy Buildings across sectors.
• Leading Electrical Building Services Design projects through RIBA stages 1-6.
• Supporting the Building Services Design process (RIBA 1-4) and services team.
• Supporting construction (RIBA 5-6) and project management teams.
• Producing and reviewing calculations, drawings and reports.
• Providing SME knowledge on Electrical Engineering Design.

Senior Electrical Engineer

We are looking for someone highly driven, ambitious and technically sharp who is ready to play a key role in delivering low energy building solution. As our Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the deliver of projects while helping drive our shared vision of meeting the UK's 2050 Net Zero Carbon targets for buildings.

The role will primarily focus on delivering electrical building services design within our Building Services Team. This role is about ownership: leading electrical building services design, providing technical oversight, working closely with clients and project teams, and supporting the successful delivery of projects across domestic, commercial and public sector buildings. Typically, your projects will cover: Heatng Systems Design, Hot & Cold Water Design, Ventlaton and Heat Recovery Systems Design, above gound Drainage Systems Design, HVAC Systems Design, HVAC Control ystems, Air conditoning & Cooling Systems Design, Mechanical Plant Room Design and Air Source and Ground Source Systems Design.

THE ROLE:

• Providing Electrical Services Design to Low Energy Buildings (Domesc, Commercial and Public Building Sectors)
• Leading Electrical Building Services Design projects through all RIBA stages 1-6
• Supportng the Building Services Design process (RIBA 1-4) and services team
• Supportng the construction process (RIBA 5-6) and project management teams
• Supportng Low Energy Building Design (RIBA 1-4) and technical teams
• Produce, review, and approve calculaons, analyses, drawings, models, and technical reports.
• Providing subject matter expert knowledge on Electrical Engineering Design
• Developing and improving technical systems in the business
