With plans for multi-million pound investment and a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, we are seeking an experienced Head of Electrical or Lead Electrical Engineer to drive the business forward, enhancing manufacturing operations in production, planning, quality, H&S, and overall efficiency.

Key Responsibilities of Electrical Engineer

• Lead a small engineering team of around 10-15 personnel
• People management, including motivation and mentoring to foster problem-solving and career development, aligning leadership to drive site and manufacturing line improvements
• Implementation and management of HSEQ standards and policies
• Heavy industrial electrical engineering tasks
• Support the transition to a new manufacturing environment
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements
• Monitor electrical tasks through spot checks and provide feedback

Essential Qualifications

• Previous experience in a senior electrical role, such as EC&I Engineer, Automation Engineer, or Head of Electrical Engineering
• 18th Edition and current BS7671 regulations
• Knowledge of PLCs and inverters
• Leadership and people management skills
• Working knowledge of IEC 61508/61511 standards
• Complex EX14 or working knowledge of ATEX, with proven Atex Responsible Person qualifications

The position reports to the Site Operations Manager and offers significant influence and autonomy, with opportunities for personal and career development. Responsibilities also include electrical maintenance and heavy industry plant knowledge.
