Senior Electrical Engineer

An opportunity to join an established MEP Consultancy. The team is currently sitting at around 90 heads across two office locations. You will be a part of a team of specialists who specialize in a variety of projects such as Education, Healthcare, Hotels, Data Centres, Residential, Offices, and more.

Role Expectations:

1. Collaborate actively with process owners to review the design process.
2. Create schematics, elevations, and details in AutoCAD/Revit that adhere to engineering directives, UK engineering standards, CDM regulations, and drawing and quality procedures.
3. Produce and verify engineering calculations as necessary.
4. Assist the team with project checks and reviews, addressing issues to ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.
5. Coordinate CAD/Revit drawings with other disciplines, understanding the principles of other engineering fields.
6. Stay up-to-date with relevant engineering and industry standards.
7. Communicate effectively and professionally with external members of the design team and clients on technical matters, whether during client meetings, workshops, or project review sessions.
8. Provide clear, accurate, and timely responses to queries from the design team and contractors, including RFIs and technical submittals, in accordance with company products.
9. Always keep future business development in focus, foster strong relationships with industry contacts, and promote the business whenever opportunities arise.
10. Ensure projects stay within budget, assess when additional fees are necessary, and manage the team's workload to meet project timelines.
11. Proactively support management in maintaining a successful business by identifying potential risks and proposing solutions to address them.
12. Seek out opportunities for new business and additional fees, obtaining approval from the line manager before proceeding.
