Job summary

A leading contractor in water treatment projects is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer. This permanent role involves planning, executing, and managing designs for electrical solutions in the water industry. Candidates should possess extensive experience in electrical design, especially within UK water and wastewater projects, and have a degree in Electrical Engineering.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years proven track record as an Electrical Engineer in both a design office and in a construction environment.
• Experience on UK Water and Wastewater projects desired.
• Knowledge of British and European design standards required.

Responsibilities

• Meeting with clients to discuss intervention requirements.
• Carry out electrical site surveys to identify solutions to complex problems.
• Lead the development of design deliverables with the team.

Job Role: Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Salary: £45,000-£65,000 + Competitive package (depending on level of experience)

Location: Basingstoke, Dewsbury or Warrington (hybrid working available)

Our client is a leading contractor with the design, build & maintenance of water treatment projects throughout the UK. They have an established in-house design team and are looking for an ambitious Electrical Design Engineer (Senior / Principal grade) to join them on a permanent basis. The work will be varied and involves projects from multiple frameworks for AMP8.

About the Role:

• Meeting with Clients to discuss specific intervention requirement
• Carry out intrusive Electrical and ICA site surveys to Identify the most appropriate solutions to complex problems
• Carry out the planning and implementation of the project
• Line management and development of assigned EICA staff
• Taking the lead on the development of EICA design deliverables by you and your team
• Providing technical guidance on EICA matters to the wider project team

About you:

• Degree/HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering
• Chartered or near Chartership.
• Have design experience on UK Water and Wastewater projects
• Knowledge of British and European design standards
• Minimum of 5 years proven track record as an Electrical Engineer in both a design office and in a construction environment
