Job summary

ALink Recruitment Limited, on behalf of an engineering consultancy, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide technical support to a rail consultancy in the UK. The role focuses on reviewing designs, offering senior technical guidance and ensuring compliance with TfL and rail standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong UK rail electrical experience, TfL pathway knowledge, and the ability to independently challenge designs while liaising with clients.

Qualifications

• Strong background in electrical engineering within the UK rail industry.
• Extensive TfL experience and knowledge.
• Strong understanding of TfL engineering standards, specifications and processes.
• Ability to independently review, interrogate and challenge electrical designs.
• Broad technical knowledge across rail/building-services electrical systems.
• Comfortable dealing directly with clients and answering technical queries.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ideally Chartered or working at an equivalent senior/technical authority level.

Responsibilities

• Provide pragmatic solutions where engineering or design issues arise.
• Support projects as required, with workload varying depending on client and project demands.
