Brief

Seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer for a well-known Facilities Management organisation. The role offers full remote work or office-based work in London, Manchester, or Cambridge. The ideal candidate will have a pride in their work and in-depth knowledge of electrical engineering.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will lead electrical technical aspects of projects, focusing on BESS, electrolytic hydrogen, and PV projects, contributing significantly to the UK's decarbonisation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead electrical system design for energy projects, including HV/LV systems, protection schemes, and control systems.
2. Develop technical drawings, system studies, and specifications.
3. Ensure compliance with UK grid codes and standards.
4. Support tendering, contractor evaluation, and site inspections.
5. Act as Electrically Authorised Person (EAP) and oversee commissioning activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• BEng/MEng in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) preferred.
• Authorised person HV | LV qualification preferred.
• Experience in electrical design, BESS/hydrogen projects, HV systems, and UK grid standards.
• Proficiency in power system analysis software and electrical CAD.
• Knowledge of IEC 61850 and protection relays.
