I'm working with a well-established and forward-thinking building services consultancy that is looking to appoint a Senior Electrical Engineer for their Birmingham office. Known for their innovative approach to low-carbon design, this company delivers high-quality engineering solutions across healthcare, education, commercial, residential, industrial, and public sector projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer ready to step into a leadership role on complex, sustainable projects, while mentoring junior team members and contributing to a genuinely collaborative and inclusive culture.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading electrical design on a wide range of projects
  • Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and clients
  • Producing high-quality specifications, reports, and technical drawings
  • Providing technical leadership and mentoring junior engineers
  • Driving sustainable, low-carbon design and integrating renewable technologies
  • Attending and leading design meetings, site visits, and inspections
  • Supporting project delivery from concept through to completion

What we're looking for:

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
  • 4+ years of post-qualification experience in building services design
  • Strong knowledge of British Standards, Building Regs, and relevant codes
  • Proficient in software such as Amtech, Revit, Dialux/Relux
  • Experience working across sectors including healthcare, education, or commercial
  • Chartered or working towards chartership (IET, CIBSE)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
