Job Description: Head of Electrical / Lead Electrical Engineer
Our client is a market leading manufacturer of products and solutions utilized within the construction industry. With plans for multi-million-pound investment and a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, we are seeking an experienced Head of Electrical or Lead Electrical Engineer to drive the business forward, enhancing manufacturing operations in production, planning, quality, H&S, and overall efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead a small engineering team of around 10-15 members
- Manage and motivate your team to effectively problem-solve and develop their careers, providing appropriate leadership to advance site and manufacturing line performance
- Implement and manage HSEQ standards and policies
- Apply heavy industrial electrical engineering expertise
- Support the transition to a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing environment nearby
- Identify opportunities to automate manufacturing processes further
- Monitor electrical tasks through spot checks and provide relevant feedback
Essential Qualifications
- Experience in a senior electrical role such as EC&I Engineer, Automation Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or Head of Electrical Engineering
- 18th Edition wiring regulations and current BS7671 standards, knowledge of PLCs and inverters
- Leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build, motivate, and develop teams
- Knowledge of IEC 61508/61511 standards
- Experience with complex EX14 systems and proven Atex Responsible Person qualifications
- The role reports to the Site Operations Manager and offers significant influence and autonomy, with opportunities for personal and career growth
- Electrical maintenance experience, including heavy industry plant knowledge
