Job description

Overview

An experienced Senior / Principal Electronics Engineer is needed to play a key part in delivering technical & engineering products and projects for new and legacy products for an industry recognised manufacturing business.

The role engages with a range of internal and external stakeholders, being involved in the design, production and in-service support of new-build modern and legacy products, and delivering repair services to customer equipment. Working in a focused project team you will work with engineers and technicians with varying disciplines to deliver complex technical products in line with all relevant compliance regulations, technical & quality standards. You will also be involved in supporting bids, proposals and tender frameworks to maximise the company's ability to win ongoing projects.

Responsibilities
  • Design, production and in-service support of new-build and legacy electronic products.
  • Delivery of repair services to customer equipment.
  • Work with a multidisciplinary project team to deliver complex technical products compliant with regulations and quality standards.
  • Support bids, proposals and tender frameworks to maximise new business opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Qualified Electrical Engineer with 3-5 years of experience.
  • Experience in highly regulated or safety-critical sectors (e.g., Oil & Gas, Renewables, Process, Telecommunications, Aerospace, Rail, Defence).
  • Good project management skills and understanding of bids and tender processes.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Hands-on technically with experience in Design, Test, Calibration and Repair of specialist electronics hardware for customer projects.
  • Ability to solve technical problems in both hands-on and desktop work packages and to present findings clearly in English (written and oral).
Other

There is some travel to UK-based or international customer sites and you will need to be prepared to do so when needed.
