Job summary

Affluent Technology Limited is seeking a Senior Electrical and Electronic Components Engineer to support advanced electrical and electronic systems for future vehicle programmes in Hinckley, UK.

You will lead design and validation of ECUs and components, collaborate with systems and software teams, and manage suppliers to meet quality, cost and timing targets throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent, or HND with relevant industry experience.
• Experience in electrical and electronic hardware development within automotive, motorcycle, powersports or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of requirements capture, hardware specification and supplier management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electrical and electronic components across chassis, powertrain, electric driveline, RESS and HMI systems.
• Define, specify and validate components to meet system requirements, safety standards (FuSa), environmental conditions and EMC regulations.
• Identify, analyse and resolve technical issues and risks at both component and full motorcycle level.
• Support electrical architecture development and system integration activities.
• Identify and resolve technical issues at component, subsystem and vehicle level.
• Manage suppliers to deliver ECUs and components to quality, cost and timing targets.
• Collaborate with systems, software, validation and manufacturing teams throughout the development lifecycle.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical & Electronic Components Engineer to support the development of advanced electrical and electronic systems for future vehicle programmes.

• Lead the design and development of electrical and electronic components across chassis, powertrain, electric driveline, RESS and HMI systems.
• Define, specify and validate components to meet system requirements, safety standards (FuSa), environmental conditions and EMC regulations.
• Identify, analyse and resolve technical issues and risks at both component and full motorcycle level.
• Support electrical architecture development and system integration activities.
• Identify and resolve technical issues at component, subsystem and vehicle level.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Degree (BEng/BSc/MEng/MSc) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent, or HND with relevant industry experience.
• Experience in electrical and electronic hardware development within automotive, motorcycle, powersports or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of requirements capture, hardware specification and supplier management.
• Proven experience delivering ECUs and electrical/electronic components through full project lifecycles.
• Understanding of electrical system integration and component validation.
• Previous experience within the motorcycle industry would be highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of CAN communication and tools such as CANoe, CANalyser or equivalent.
• Experience in Functional Safety (ISO 26262), EMC, connectivity, telematics or HMI development.
