A global engineering solutions provider is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer in Kingston upon Hull. The Role

Wood is looking for an enthusiastic team member with seasoned experience in Electrical Design to support the growing Engineering and Design team in Hull. The senior candidate will work in accordance with Wood quality standards and promote safe working practices.

As a Senior Electrical Designer, you will produce drawings predominantly using BricsCAD design software, adhering to Wood standards and client project specifications.

As a senior, you’ll demonstrate leadership within the design community by providing guidance and supervising small work groups.

The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, supporting remote work and a set number of days at our Hull office.

You will collaborate closely with Engineers and follow their guidance on deliverables.

Expected:

  • HNC Electrical / Electrical Engineering
  • Experience as an Electrical Designer within Oil, Gas, and Petrochemical Industries, including hazardous areas.
  • Good knowledge of codes, standards, and practices related to instrument design in these industries.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Experience creating and modifying PDFs with Adobe Acrobat
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and BricsCAD
  • Strong attention to detail
