Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer in London to lead high-profile electrical design projects across commercial, residential and industrial sectors. You will work with clients, guide multidisciplinary teams, and deliver energy-efficient, compliant solutions.

The role requires experience in RIBA stages 1-7, proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit, and a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. This position offers a contract outside IR35 with a £45 per hour rate.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience leading MEP projects
• Strong experience managing multidisciplinary teams
• Experience with UK building regulations and standards

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple building services projects.
• Design and oversee electrical systems including power, lighting, and fire alarms.
• Coordinate project teams and ensure successful delivery.
• Review technical drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with UK regulations and industry standards.
• Drive sustainable and energy-efficient design solutions.
• Mentor and support junior engineers.
• Build strong client relationships and contribute to business development.
