Job description

Location: UK-based with occasional global travel for field installations

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Senior Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and delivery of cutting-edge motion simulation technology. You will play a critical role in the creation of electrical systems for the next generation of simulators, targeting a range of global markets, from motorsport and automotive to defense and aviation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and interpret requirements to produce detailed design specifications.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and Bill of Materials (BoM).
  • Specify electrical control panel and system designs for subcontract manufacture.
  • Generate, review, and approve schematics, schedules, and calculations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., EN60335, EN60204, ISO12100, EMC, EN13849).
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Provide onsite support for integration, commissioning, and in-service upgrades/maintenance, both in the UK and internationally.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3–4 years of experience in a relevant field, such as new product development/introduction.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (BSc, BEng, MSc, MEng).
  • Experience with electrical control panel specification and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD or Eplan).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Hands-on experience with fault-finding and system integration activities.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Membership in a relevant professional institute or organization.
